This is one of a number of Ham Estate vintage tube radios that I have sold starting last year to happy enthusiasts. I will be selling more from this estate through the end of this year. They all were from the estate of a ham enthusiast who rebuilt communication receivers over the years along with many other tube type radios and test equipment.
This is an unusual early (1930s?) British two tube HAC shortwave set or likely a kit. I know virtually nothing about this set except what I can see here. A search on the internet dates this radio (kit) to the 1930s but I can’t be sure.
It has two British tubes with original boxes. Specs are they are 2V tubes and they have good filaments. Appear to have ten plug in coils for the set and a number of printed instructions.
Set is very clean. It is untested as I have no knowledge of how to run this set. I'm pretty sure it is a shortwave set using plug in coils.
Please look closely at all photos as they are an integral part of description.
Set will be carefully packed and shipped by Fedex Ground. Please check my 27+ year perfect feedback, discounted Fedex shipping and bid with confidence. Please note for the last two years I have been paying for shipping and packing materials like new boxes, styrofoam boards, bubble wrap, etc. costing me up to $10 per radio. I can no longer afford to do that so I will be adding a small handling charge of $5 for this early and fragile set to help defray packaging costs of extra Styrofoam boards, bubblewrap, etc. and to provide extra protection overall
