Antique Georgian Brass / Bell Metal Candlesticks Pair
On offer is this good pair of georgian / early 19th century candlesticks.
The lovely coppery colour of the brass indicates an early date as the brass at this time had a higher copper content and lower zinc content ...which made for this deeper colour...sometimes referred to as "red brass".
They stand 23 cms tall and are in good antique condition with some amendments to the screws under the bases.....and an incredibly slight lean to one stick all in keeping with age and use.....all as shown in the photos.
Both have a good weight to them...and are very stylish...perfect for a christmas dinner table !!!
