The watch does wind and set the time smoothly and twice I have tested this watch for over 20 hours duration for timekeeping accuracy and BOTH tests the watch was “right on” against my smart phone clock. I do not know when the last time this watch was serviced; the inside case back has ZERO watchmaker markings on it- it may be from the factory……….. to you.
The movement in this watch is a TINY full rotor 17 Jewels Swiss Automatic winding- a Bulova Caliber 6BPA. The winding rotor swings nice and smoothly and has no notable sag. The all stainless steel case on this watch tells the story of a watch that has NOT been used very much down through the last SEVEN decades. The case back has a number of 5961. This watch comes on a BRAND new Seiko 10mm brown lizard strap that looks great with the piece. With this band on the watch, the largest wrist size that can be fit is 7 inches.
