I have for sale the original Royal Air Force box that was given upon the award of the  Air Force Cross, which would have been issued  during the Second World War, (I expect in1944).

The inside has the size of the medal cut out of the felt and the upper inside lid is silk with the stamp for the Royal Mint. The case opens by a press stud on the side of the case that works as it was intended. The gilt wording AFC on the outside cover of the case is brighter than the scan shows.

The case and medal was awarded to my father. He was killed in a flying accident in 1946. I have now had all his medals swing mounted so I no longer require this case.

I also have a copy AFC medal on eBay for sale 'Buy it Now'.

It will be sent 2nd Class Post - Large Letter.
