ANCIENT SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENT

Description :

Old laboratory physics instrument: Leyden bottle (ancestor of the capacitor). Object intended for the study of static electricity.

Technical characteristics:

Materials: Glass container, metal frames (internal and external), collecting rod with metal sphere, black insulating disc.

Dimensions: 18.5 cm (height) x 6 cm (diameter).

Weight: 180 grams.

State of conservation:

General: Object in its own juice with patina of use.

Insulation: The central disc has a superficial crack (see photos).

Structure: The exterior covering has some irregularities. The internal contact system (claws) is present.

Sold as is, as shown in the photographs. Ideal for a cabinet of curiosities or a collection of scientific objects (Scientifica).
