Conchiglie Shells Seashells Cypraea Conus Voluta Murex mirkoguardiani
Zoila venusta venusta
Live collected, extremely rare nominate species from the Central West Area only available from old collections. The shell is notably heavy and calloused, displaying the classic robustness typical of the Jurien Bay/Cervantes population. It features distinctly rostrate extremities, with the anterior and posterior canals being elegantly extended and thickened. The dorsum exhibits a delicate cream-colored base, beautifully contrasted by rich orange-tan spotting. These spots are well-defined, providing a striking visual depth against the lighter background. A well-proportioned specimen measuring 66.3 mm, fitting perfectly within the desirable size range for this locality. Collected by divers in about 20-25 mt. in the old times. The shell have a natural roughness on lateral side that you can see on macro photos and the dorsum features a very slight, shallow indentation (depression). This is a natural growth trait often found in larger, heavily calloused specimens of Zoila venusta. It is smooth to the touch and does not interrupt the high-gloss "gem" finish of the shell. otherwise I don't see any noticeable other defects, so we can grade as Fine+++ for a natural flaws
