Iceberg: A Sportswear Brand Full of Italian Flair

The brand was founded in 1974 by Giuliana Marchini and Silvano Gerani. The designers had one goal: to bring a bit of characteristic Italian fun and a sense of humor to the serious market of luxury sportswear.

The strong pillars of Iceberg back then were men's collections (where the brand's designers debuted), knitwear, humorous cartoon and art motifs, including pop art (motifs from Andy Warhol's works or Mickey Mouse images), and the use of vibrant, saturated colors, previously rarely seen on slopes or in resorts. The first women's collection of the brand was created in 1976, and the first boutique opened only in 1989, in Milan.
