Designed to allow for easy and quick draining of a Hornady powder measure (case-activated or hand-actuated) without removing the measure from the press/stand. 

These inserts are printed in a chemical resistant material, and are impervious to powder additives, solvents, and oils commonly found around reloading equipment. 

Instructions for Use:
  1. Bring the correct bottle you intend to drain the powder measure into, and remove the lid. 
  2. Dispense one powder charge into an empty case, keeping the rotor in the upright position afterwards
  3. Press the metering insert release button, and remove the metering insert. 
  4. WHILE STILL HOLDING THE ROTOR, insert the quick drain insert into the rotor. It should press in securely and lock in just like the metering inserts do. 
  5. Bring the powder bottle up to the end of the quick drain insert. 
  6. Slowly let the rotor down, allowing the powder to flow through the insert and into the powder bottle. 
  7. Gently tap the measure or cycle the rotor once or twice to dislodge any remain granules from the powder measure body. 
  8. Return the rotor to the upright position and replace with the desired metering insert. 
  9. Close powder bottle and store appropriately. 

Note: Not for use with black powder!
