Honoring the 1977 design, 2026 Topps Heritage Baseball picks back up with the next classic from the ongoing MLB throwback series.
Topps presales began on February 23, 2026. Hobby boxes contain one relic or autograph for ($109.99). Other formats include Mega ($49.99) and Value Blaster ($24.99) boxes.
Last year, the one-hit Hobby boxes were also $109.99 at presale, and $119.99 on release day. However, the 2025 edition had four more packs than the 2026 edition.
As in most years, the 2026 Topps Heritage Baseball checklist caters to fans of classic designs and on-card autographs, plus a selection of Chrome versions. The featured players come from the past and present, including the 1977 season. Of course, the design inspiration is based on the '77 flagship set.
2026 Topps Heritage Baseball keeps the massive base series intact, offering 400 cards that include League Leaders, Record Breakers, LCS Highlights, World Series Highlights, and more. Turn Back the Clock is a new base subset.
Debuting parallels include Dark Gray Bordered (Hobby exclusive), Deckle Edge and Color of the Year "Heritage Orange" (/77).
Like last year, all base cards are found in the Chrome series.
While Topps did vaguely mention base short prints, the initial checklist didn't have the standard 100 High Number Short Prints cards atop the base set, and Topps didn't offer any additional details.
As expected, there's still a large run of variations to chase, including new choices.
Inserts include Raw Power, tying in top sluggers with the creation of the Department of Energy in 1977. There's also Ready and Action, with in-game images and a film strip design, and The Enterprise, a themed MLB set that pays tribute to the inaugural flight of the space shuttle Enterprise in 1977.
Of course, hits command plenty of attention in 2026 Topps Heritage Baseball, especially the hard-signed content.
This includes the Real One Autographs line, which supplies the de facto signed cards in Archives. The set features top rookies like Jac Caglianone and Roman Anthony, alongside MLB superstars such as Aaron Judge and other current and former players.
Look for the rare Red Ink edition that's signed in red ink and hand-numbered to 77 copies
The signatures also extend to the Base Chrome Autographs series.
These offer limited Red Border (/5) and SuperFractor (1/1) parallels.
Additionally, the Real One Quad Autos series is a new option. These four-player cards mimic the base quad style, with autographs from each star.
The new 2026 Topps Heritage Baseball hits continue in the Expansion Autographs series, which highlights the Mariners and Blue Jays' 1977 expansion squads. Turn Back the Clock Autographs features players from 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016 and 2021.
For memorabilia, fans have Heritage staples like Clubhouse Collection Relics and Flashback Relics, as well as the all-new Real One Relics.
