Fender Squier Pro Tone ProTone Stratocaster Olympic White With Matching Headstock 96-98 New Gig Bag!

Note: There is a cigarette burn on the headstosk!!! Thats MOJO at no extra cost!! This is a 30 year old guitar that someone gigged with. 

This guitar is in very good condition for its age. It has some small dings, dents, chips and pick scratches on the pick guard (please see pics). Nothing uncommon for a guitar that is almost 30 years old. Frets are in good shape barely used with plenty of life left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod work fine. All the electronics work as they should. A really nice well padded gig bag and aftermarket trem arm is also included.

The highly regarded Squier Pro Tones then showed off Korean Strat manufacture at its best for an all-too-brief couple of years. But the '87 MIK Squier wasn't in the league of the ash-bodied Pro Tones. It was a cheap, beginners' instrument, with manufacturing costs slashed almost to the bone. The Squier Pro Tone guitars was the best of the best that Korea had to offer which is why Fender stopped production of the Pro Tone Guitars after 3 years. They were cutting into the profits of the American made Fenders at that time!!!

I have been collecting these Pro Tone guitars for years, but it is time for me to let them some of them go to someone else. I have every model. If you are looking for a specific model send me a message.

This Pro Tone has had a few mods added to it. The bridge pickup was swapped for a Lace Red Sensor pickup. There is a small stress crack on the High E side of the neck pocket. Tis is common on Fender guitars. The saddles are black. I do not know why, but they are. The serial number on the neck heal has worn off so dating this guitar between 96-98. This guitar has lots of mojo going on. It plays well and sounds good.

If you prefer I can upgrade this guitar with a set of RH Factor pickups, CTS pots, Oak Grigsby Switch, Mojo Dijon caps and Switchcraft jack for an extra $175.00. If you prefer another style of pickups, I do have accounts with Fralin and Seymour Duncan. I also have some NOS Tonerider pickups left in stock.
