1986-1987 Fender Squier A Series 57 Reissue ST-357 Stratocaster Aged Olympic White Maple Fretboard Gigbag!
You are looking at a Stratocaster that was manufactured in the Fuji-gen Plant (for Fender Japan)

Fender MIJ Stratocasters are highly sought after because of their build quality. The JV, SQ, A and E-Series are at the top of the list. The build quality at the Fuji-gen Plant was far superior to most of the American Fender Strats of that era.
The 1985-1986 Fender Squier ST-357 "A-Series" Stratocaster is a highly regarded Japanese-made instrument produced by the Fujigen Gakki factory during the mid-80s "golden era" of Japanese Fender production. These guitars, often part of the Contemporary or Standard series, are noted for having build quality superior to many American Fender models of the same era.

When I first listed this guitar the previous owner modified it as such that it wasn't a 57 clone anymore. They added some different pickups as you can see in the last picture. If you would like that old loaded pickguard to come with the guitar, send me a PM and can negotiate a price. The body and soft V-C neck were not modified so they remain the same other than the added mojo of playing it. I had planned on modifying this guitar when I bought it several years ago, but decided to list it as is. Everytime I looked at the listing it just made me cringe. I am a big fan of the vintage MIJ Fender guitars and it did not sit well with me on the configuration of the guitar as I previously listed it.
I wanted to bring this guitar back to its vintage roots. So here is what I changed:
This guitar is in very good condition for its age. It is 40 years old! It does have a few dings, and scratches. I would say someone bought this guitar and played most of its life. This Strat has a lot of vintage mojo going on. If you would like detailed pics of the mojo or the old pickguard send me a PM.
The heel is stamped with ST-357 (57 Reissue). Frets have plenty of life left on them for vintage frets the action is good.
It has several appointments that are common with the 50's reissues like the body contours and maple neck with the soft V-C contour. and 1-ply pickguard is new and not stock, but the black trem cover might be original.
