This Listing is for an Authentic US Navy Rate utilized from 1946 to 1955
Fire Control Technician 3rd Class (FT3c) - Petty Officer 3rd Class
The Patch size is approximately 4-1/8" High x 3-3/4" Wide

The Rate Patch that you see is the Rate Patch that you will receive upon purchase
It is an authentic "once existed on a uniform" Patch
It was removed by my Grandmother when she worked as a military seamstress during and right after WW2
The Patch is in reasonably Good Condition for it's age

This Patch is from the home of the Spouse of a World War II Veteran
It's sale benefits her care (here at home) as she now struggles with memory issues
My Father was a Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class skippering a landing craft on D-Day in June of 1944
But his Naval service didn't end there
He also was a sailor in Army fatigues that took boats overland across France so that they would be available for a Rhine crossing
After the German counter-offensive (the Battle of the Bulge), my Father had the first boat in the Rhine River in early March of '45
After his service in Europe, my Father was then sent to the Pacific where he served duty in Inchon, Korea prior to a possible invasion of Japan
Years later my Father proudly represented a company that did business with both of those now great Asian countries
