Ext., 3/4 leather. Board edges rubbed with some chips, as seen. Front board detached. Rear hinge split and held by cords. Spine rubbed and head/tail chipped.

Int., Endpapers toned at edges. Defaced 1841 inscription on FEP. Light foxing to first and last pages. Ink stains to p242 bleeding through a few pages either side. Contents otherwise VG.

Odd volume and binding poor, but still a scarce period copy of this important philosophical work.
