Let me tell you about “SKY BOUND HEDGEHOG.”
I know what you’re thinking. Hedgehogs don’t fly. We waddle. We roll. We poke things accidentally. But me? I look at the sky and think, Why not?
While the other hedgehogs are busy perfecting the art of staying low to the ground, I’m standing there with my chest out, imagining the wind in my quills. Flying isn’t normal for a hedgehog—but neither is giving up on what you believe you were made to do. I have faith. Faith that says, Just because no one’s done it before doesn’t mean you can’t.
Sure, gravity has opinions. And yes, my friends say things like, “That’s not how hedgehogs work.” But dreams don’t care about what’s normal. Dreams care about courage. So I jump. And for that moment—whether it’s real or imagined—I fly.
That’s what this painting is about. Believing hard enough to try something ridiculous. Having faith to do what doesn’t make sense. Being brave enough to be the hedgehog who flies. I really enjoyed painting this one!
