Absolutely GORGEOUS antique art glass necklace of wound glass beads in pink foiled fire opal and white moonstone glass. At 60" this necklace can be worn multiple ways. Or just display it and admire its rare beauty.
The pink beads are absolutely TO DIE FOR lovely! Every single one is just beautiful, and so many of them! The white "moonstone" glass beads are semi-opaque, with an opal flash effect. The clasp appears to be original, it functions well. The wire shows some verdigris, not unusual for a necklace of this age and material, but appears to be structurally sound.
This necklace has been well taken care of for over 100 years. A few beads have an internal line showing but it is only internal and the beads appear structurally sound. One white bead has a divet where there was a bubble when made and two have dings but none of these noted items are noticeable. I had to examine closely to find any anomalies. All are shown in the pictures.. Unless noted, I do not see or feel any other damage on the beads. I am selling as acquired and have not cleaned this item.
necklace is 60 inches long. The smaller round pink beads are 8mm around. The pink oval beads are 13 and 18mm long. White beads average 15mm long.
