Set of two handmade wildlife plaques created on natural artist conk (polypore) mushroom shelves.
Subjects: one depicts two loons on a mountain lake with pines; the other shows a bugling elk in a forest scene.
Medium/technique: pyrography/engraving on Ganoderma "artist's conk" with natural bark-edge character and earthy tan/brown tones.
Backs show the natural growth rings of the conks with a clear sealed finish; fronts display detailed linework and shading.
One plaque (elk scene) is initialed by the artist near the hindquarters area.
Rustic lodge/cabin decor; organic, one-of-a-kind pieces with unique natural variations.
No hanging hardware is attached; backs are unfinished in form besides the clear coat.
Special note: Please review all photos for design details and natural variations inherent to the medium.
