Garrard 201 vintage turntable. The very first transcription TT!! An early 1930's high quality direct drive player and a very early example of the 201 as used by cinemas, the BBC and Allied wartime armed forces. It plays both 33rpm and 78rpm (the 201A is usually thought to be the first model that plays 33s and 78s). It's been cared for, is in excellent condition, from a non-smoking home, appears completely original and came to me from someone who was connected to the Garrard factory in Swindon, England. It's been in my possession for a while but I've not attempted to recondition it or connect it to power, so it's sold as seen and is untested. Please see photos as they make up part of the description. Collection available from Swindon, or I can post via Special Delivery. Any questions, please ask.
