This tree produces large paper shells, with the richly flavored kernel. Very vigorous and bears young. Excellent shade tree. Cold hardiness to 0 degrees F.  When planting, space 55' apart. Fertilize in spring just before new growth begins. This is a magnificent shade tree and produces fantastic nuts.
