[Bussy, Dorothy].
Olivia. London: Hogarth Press, 1949.
Offered for sale is a copy of Dorothy Bussy's Olivia--in its first edition, the fifth impression, of 1949 (the year in which the novella was published).
The jacket--designed by Duncan Grant--is secure in Mylar: it is chipped, price-clipped, and a bit tender (with some separation) at the folds. Having been reinforced with non-archival tape, the interior is moderately stained--that tape has since been removed and replaced with neutral archival tape. The volume itself is tight and square, with strong hinges and sound binding. The cloth is clean with sl. sun-fading in the upper portions of the front board and the back-strip. The leaves are free of underscores, annotations, &c., though some are lightly stained. The F.F.E.P. bears a number of remarks from other sellers (most in pencil and susceptible to erasure by the enterprising buyer); the rear paste-down is a bit toned.
The book will be posted by USPS Media Mail. Buyers abroad will be served by eBay's Global Shipping Program.
