An important find at a local estate sale where the family only used this set during the Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays, yielded this extremely rare BOXED circa 1940 pre-Santa Anita Ware, Santa Anita Potteries, Los Angeles 41, Calif., large 9pc, 300/9 style Lazy Susan serving set in the original factory shipping carton! The set consists of the 19.5" dia. woodgrain Lazy Susan base, the covered centerpiece bowl in Forest Green, and six surrounding service trays, three in Lime Green and three in Forest Green. None of the pieces are marked. The only indicators of the style number is the 300/9 that is printed on one box side panel, and the box bottom, shown. In overall very good, pre-owned, seasonally-used condition, there are small glaze flakes/chips to three of the service trays, shown. Visible usage wear is minimal. The original shipping carton has one detached corner, shown, that I will leave up to the new owner to repair. This boxed unit will be shipped in a larger cardboard carton to ensure a safe shipment, and to preserve the rare & original factory packaging. As the Santa Anita Potteries rebranded into Santa Anita Ware in the very early 1940s, the Santa Anita Potteries company name was used for only a few short years after beginning production operations in 1939. It will be eons before another set like this surfaces in the original factory packaging with factory location logo of Santa Anita Potteries, Los Angeles 41, Calif. The set was originally shipped to a vendor located at: Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn, New York, and is stamped with the name and address on one shipping carton panel, shown. Buyer pays FedEx ground s/h/i, with free tracking, on this 22lb. oversized shipment. Due to across the board increases, a $2. handling fee has been added to this purchase. Re: all regular 10 day auctions, although you may request a payment total through eBay channels, PLEASE WAIT UNTIL I SEND YOU AN INVOICE STATING ALL CHARGES BEFORE PAYING. For Buy-It-Now auctions, please follow thru with immediate payment. Otherwise, with regular auctions, payment is expected within 3 days. As international sales have become prohibitively expensive, I no longer ship internationally. eBay now automatically collects any/all state sales taxes where applicable. As ALL SALES ARE FINAL, please ask questions before bidding. Thanks for viewing and Good Luck!
