Novelty Antique Circus Clown Jester Cigar Cheroot Cutter Folding Concertina Legs

4.5 x 3.25 x 0.25 cm.

A silver plated on brass metal miniature to small item, with a loop for hanging from a chatelaine or other chain. Of solid metal construction and fully functional.

Marked ‘PAT’ for patent with no other markings.

Modelled as a clown and with an intriguing mechanical action that turns it into a small cigar / cheroot cutter.

Press on the sides of both legs evenly, and at the joints, and they fold in or close to narrow the aperture which brings the enclosed cutters into play. These will then cut off the end of a thin cigar or cheroot.

Diameter of hole is 9 mm, if planning to use.

This novelty cigar / cheroot cutter is in fully working condition, with intact joints and just as to be expected plating wear / patina commensurate with great age and use. See the photos showing both sides, and the three photographs demonstrating how they work.
