Vintage Sierra Designs women’s Gore-Tex waterproof shell jacket made in 1985 - Size Medium, featuring a classic blue color-block design from the brand’s high-quality manufacturing era.

Constructed with genuine Gore-Tex fabric for waterproof and breathable performance, with durable YKK zippers throughout. Made in Hong Kong during Sierra Designs’ premium production period.

Design features include a full-length front zipper with snap storm flap, structured high collar with adjustable hood, Velcro-adjustable cuffs, and waist adjustment tabs for a secure fit in wind and rain. Lightweight yet tough — ideal as a rain shell, wind shell, or layering piece for outdoor use or vintage technical style.

Most importantly for a jacket of this age, the Gore-Tex membrane is fully intact with no peeling, flaking, or delamination.

Early Gore-Tex shells from the 1980s are widely regarded as more robustly constructed than many modern lightweight versions, with heavier-duty fabric, stronger stitching, and longer-lasting waterproof membranes.

Overall very good vintage condition.

• Two small Velcro tabs show slight loose stitching (cosmetic, easily repaired if desired)
• Very light cosmetic piling near one snap area

No holes, no stains, no membrane breakdown. Clean and fully functional.
