Original signed and inscribed half-length seated photographic portrait of Glenn Miller, signed “Glenn Miller” in blue ink and inscribed "Happy Birthday to Doris," . The photograph is the classic studio publicity image issued during Miller’s peak Swing Era prominence in the late 1930s–early 1940s. The inscription and signature are written directly on the image and exhibit Miller’s characteristic, fluent hand. This portrait dates from the period immediately preceding or concurrent with Miller’s service as leader of the U.S. Army Air Forces Band, prior to his disappearance in 1944.

Condition: light age toning and minor handling wear consistent with period photographic prints; small edge wear visible, pin holes at top corners. No restoration noted.
