Description:

A sequel that doesn't go by the book. Take on Fiction with new player powers!

The Wordle-inspired party game of deception returns in Fiction: Banned Books. Guess words from history’s most famous banned titles, using new powers that switch up the gameplay.

The sequel to Fiction is here! Based on the extremely popular Wordle, Fiction: Banned Books tasks players with guessing a secret five-letter word.

Be careful! When getting clues back from the tricky Lie-brarian, one clue will always be a lie. How will you overcome the deception?

Fiction: Banned Books features all new player powers, with words taken from history's most (in)famously banned titles.

What makes Fiction: Banned Books stand out?
Almost everyone knows how to play Wordle - At this point, it feels like Wordle is almost as ubiquitous as Texas Hold-em or Chess. Because of that, Fiction: Banned Books is extremely quick-to-teach. Just explain the wrinkle of deception and player powers, and you're off!

The rare game that plays well with 2 or with 8+ - Fiction: Banned Books is a surprisingly good couple's game. It also works well as a one-vs-many party. Hilariously, having too many "cooks in the kitchen" can make players second-guess themselves.

18 New Ability Cards - Spend your Fact/Fiction tokens to use your abilities. For example: "Your next guess may be 5 letters that don't spell a word." Use these powers cleverly, as they aren't cheap to use!

How To Play Fiction: Banned Books

1. Lie-brarians, Choose a Word - Which banned book will you pick from?

2. Players, Make a Guess About the Word - Quick, you’ve got ten minutes or ten guesses to figure it out!

3. Lie-brarians, Give The Players Clues About Their Guess - Wordle rules apply! Make EXACTLY one lie about the clues to throw the guessers off.

4. Players, Be Careful! What is Fact or Fiction? Use all your deduction skills and all-new player powers to outwit the Lie-brarian!
