What you are bidding on is a package deal, two C1 Corvettes. One is a 1961 Corvette roller with a clean Florida Title (never transferred to my name), the other a totaled 1962 parts car with a Texas Salvage Title in my name. The 62 was in show condition before its accident, a mild restomod with a premium restoration. It is rare to come across a C1 with a parts car included. Almost unheard of these days.

The 1961 roller. NEEDS TOTAL RESTORATION. Needs some body work and a quality paint job. It appears to be a really good candidate for total restoration. It has potential and if you are a hands on restorer this is your chance to restore a piece of history for a good price. It may have had a front end fender bender looking at the grill. It has a good looking red interior, gauges are in the dash. The seats are sitting there but the frames that bolt them down are missing. The carpet appears to be newer and in good shape. Door panels are ruff and need restored. Windshield is nice, chrome is not. Passenger window is there, drivers side is missing. Wipers are there, motor and cable are not. The convertible top cover panel is not bolted in as well as the trunk lid, they are both off the 62. It appears someone cut a hole for a super charger in the hood at one point, it has been repaired with a metric ton of fiberglass patch... good thing the 62 has an almost perfect stock hood to install in it's place. It sits on four original steel rims with correct hubcaps, rims and hubcaps have wear and dings, one hubcap is mangled. In the engine bay is a 1960's 327 with Fuelie (Camel Hump) heads. Not sure of the motors condition. Attached is what I believe to be a manual 4 spd. Missing gas tank. Rear end is gutted, no drive shaft. The bumpers are there but in rough shape. You can see the bumpers have been repaired and re-plated at some point, needs restored again. All other trim is pitted or in rough shape, some is missing. As promised, it rolls and steers and that's about all it does besides collect dust and value.

The 1962 is totaled. I am not sure of the condition of the fame, if its bent or not but the front end is busted up real good, it went airborne. The hood, the convertible boot cover and the trunk deck lid all in good shape. Convertible soft top is newer and in good shape, black, convertible frame is in good working order. Every other piece of exterior fiberglass is damaged to some degree. The engine is a stout 383 with 420 horse attached to a newer tremec 5 spd. Newer rack and pinion steering set up. Electronic ignition. Electric water pump. Electric fan. After market aluminum radiator. Alternator has internal voltage regulator. Newer wiring harness with updated wafer style fuses, newer fuse block. Updated stereo, not blue tooth. Updated after market gauges that appear as stock. Electric fuel pump. The trunk has black carpet kit and black plastic panels that clean up the appearance. Battery was re-located into the trunk behind a black plastic panel on the passenger side. It was sitting on Boyd rims, some are extremely damaged. A lot of nice chrome and trim, some trim is missing or was destroyed in the accident. One rear bumper is missing. The interior is in very good shape. Leather seat covers that appear as original OEM but they are leather. Black, black, black. Cool detail, shift pattern plate looks oem but has a 5 spd pattern. Has both driver and passenger windows as well as windshield all in good shape. Windows roll up and down. I ran it once for a short time when it first got to my yard, motor sounds good. She is dusty and dirty, been sitting for a couple years.

Two hard tops. The one from the 62 is in really good shape. Windows are see through. For a perfectionist, it probably needs redone. For a daily driver, it's all good. Who drives a C1 with the hard top on anyway...

Second hard top is absolutely roached! The fiberglass has some bad body work in it. The metal and rubber are rotted, the windows are foggy. Needs total restoration... by a guy that works miracles in his spare time. Being Corvette parts that guy exists.

Down to the details....

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU COME SEE THESE CARS BEFORE BIDDING OR BUYING! No matter how I describe it, or how many questions of yours that I answer there will be unwanted surprises unless you see it for yourself and perform your own inventory of the good, the bad, the ugly and the missing. I have tried to describe the best I can, need more just ask, need another pic just ask. I really want the winning bidder to be satisfied with their purchase. Not responsible for surprises!
Both cars are located in Dickinson Tx., just South of Houston Tx. One is at my house, the other 10 minutes away at my shop. I absolutely do not ship anywhere. I will open the garage at my house and my shop whenever your shipper arrives and that's it. The roller will be easy, the totaled car is literally sitting with hubs on the ground and will take some effort to move... its not rolling anywhere. Not responsible for any damage the shipper causes while loading or transporting these cars. Some panels are not bolted in!!! May want to put them in the transport for safety. All shipping arrangements and costs are the buyers responsibility. Local Pick up.

If you win this bid the cars are SOLD, they are YOURS.... after payment. No take backsies, no returns, no refunds. If you need extra time to situate shipping, no problem I will accommodate that within reason. Just keep in touch with me and let me know what's going on.

I am NOT an expert on Corvettes. I describe everything to the best of my ability as honestly as I can. ONCE AGAIN, come see them with your own eyes, have a trusted gearhead friend stop by or send a third party inspector at your own expense (they are worth it). I guarantee nothing. Not liable for anything. These cars are sold in as is condition, restoration desperately needed/deserved.

*** Update, I have received a couple relevant questions by phone call that I want to share below.

Question: Does the 61 have an intact wiring harness?

Answer: The wiring harness is in pieces and dry rotted badly, pieces are missing. I intended to use the newer harness, fuse block and light sockets out of the 62 to replace it all.

Question: Does the 61 have the operating cables for the vent, windshield wiper motor, hood latches?

Answer: No, I intended to take them from the 62 parts car. Also the 61 does not have hood latches, springs or the hood stand/brace but the 62 does..

The idea was to scavenge all the usable parts I could off the 62 parts car and install them on the 61. As I mentioned above the 62 was in show condition before it's accident. A fully functional complete car.
