This is a United States Army 104th Infantry Regiment Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI) or unit crest. The blue and white colors are traditional infantry colors. The insignia features a torch, six stars, an Indian arrowhead, and a cross, each symbolizing aspects of the regiment's history.  

The torch and stars commemorate service during World War I campaigns. The motto "FORTITUDE ET COURAGE" (Strength and Courage) was added to the insignia in 1968.
