The Valve Index Controllers (aka "Knuckles") offer high-fidelity hand presence in VR with advanced finger tracking via 87 sensors for individual finger position, motion, and pressure, plus force sensors for grip strength, enabling natural interactions like open-handed gestures, grabbing, and throwing. They feature a unique fabric strap for comfort and secure open-hand use, along with standard inputs like thumbsticks, trackpads, face buttons, and a dual-stage trigger for a mix of natural feel and familiar gaming controls, all tracked by SteamVR base stations. 

Ideal as replacement controllers or an upgrade for compatible VR systems.

  • Standard Inputs: In addition to the advanced tracking, the controllers feature a full suite of standard inputs: a thumbstick, A and B face buttons, a system button, and a dual-stage trigger with a physical click at the bottom.
  • Haptic Feedback: High-definition linear resonant actuators (LRA) provide precise and subtle haptic feedback, enhancing the sense of touch and interaction with the virtual environment.
  • Track Button: An oval, force-sensitive track button (touchpad) on the face can be used as a trackpad, scroll wheel, or as a simple binary button, offering extra input options.
