For Sale: 2002 Land Rover Range Rover Westminster – Rare 2.5 Diesel Special Edition
Up for sale is a fantastic example of the ultra-rare 2002 Range Rover Westminster with the sought-after 2.5-litre BMW inline-six turbo-diesel engine.

This was a limited-run end-of-production special edition (only 50 diesel Westminsters made out of a total ~200 units), built to celebrate the P38 era before the L322 took over.

The diesel version is especially prized in the UK for its superior fuel efficiency, strong low-end torque, and legendary reliability compared to the thirsty V8 petrol models.

Key Highlights:
Engine & Performance: Smooth and torquey 2.5-litre BMW M51 turbo-diesel (136 bhp, but excellent pulling power with around 300 Nm torque) mated to a refined 4-speed automatic transmission and permanent 4x4 with locking center differential. Air suspension delivers that classic Range Rover waft on road and unbeatable off-road prowess. Expect far better economy than the V8s – up to 28-32 mpg on a run, ideal for longer trips or daily use.

Exterior: Striking Blenheim Silver with color-coded bumpers, mirrors, and clear indicators. Iconic 18" Hurricane alloys in factory storm grey.
Clean, timeless P38 styling with imposing presence – still turns heads today.
Interior Luxury: Plush leather with Westminster stitching seats, Poplar Anthracite wood veneers, chrome accents, and exclusive 'Westminster' sill plates. Heated electric front seats, dual-zone climate control, premium Harman Kardon sound system, glass electric sunroof, cruise control, factory sat-nav. Special edition touches make the cabin feel modern and upscale.

Mileage & Condition: 120000 miles.

Just had complete engine rebuild by a reputable P38 specialist, new turbo, new radiator, new belts, new intercooler and fan. Full service just done.

Drives superbly with no faults; air suspension holds well, and it's ready for immediate enjoyment or as a rising modern classic.

Terrafirma uprated dampers and steering rack.

Performance switchable tuning box fitted.

Extras: Full electrics (windows, mirrors, seats), ABS, traction control, towing capability (up to ~3,500 kg braked), and genuine go-anywhere versatility.

This isn't your average P38 – it's a Westminster diesel, one of the rarest and most practical versions of this iconic model. With only a handful of diesel examples ever produced, these are gaining serious collector appeal, especially low-mileage or well-kept ones like this.

Few age related marks on body as to be expected for a car of this age. Stereo stopped working a few weeks ago but I have not looked into this at all as I have another car.
