This Elgin National Watch Co. size 18 double hunter men's pocket watch was manufactured around 1871 and is in good condition.  The 15 jewel watch winds, sets and runs well (accuracy not guaranteed, see video for performance).  I assume this to be a Fahys watch case - it is coin silver and is structurally sound with typical wear and tear and some tarnishing.  It is a double hunter, double bottom, double back case with a snap crystal.  All four covers snap snugly to the frame, and all four sets of hinges are structurally sound (the inner cover hinges are slightly loose).  The bow is somewhat loose, and the pendant and crown are in excellent shape.  The key wind / key set functions work well.  The key is marked "Patented" on one side and "Sept 1st 1874' on the other.  It comes with a chain (I don't know the metal).  The dial is in good condition with a couple of tiny hairline fractures at the bottom.  No chips in the crystal are detected.  Movement is gilted and in good shape in appearance.

This watch is antique or vintage and is being sold as described based on my experience as a collector.  If you desire to restore it to optimum working condition at your cost, please consult with a pocket watch technician prior to buying.  Also study the video and photos, which may have been enhanced to show the timepiece's beauty.  The video and photos are the best evidence of the watch's details and performance, and take precedence over unintentional errors I have in the narrative.

As with most antique and vintage timepieces this watch should be cleaned, serviced and / or repaired.  Please message me with questions, and thanks for viewing.
