This is an original antique early 20th century Remington portable manual typewriter (believed to be but is not certainly a model no. 1) in the original carrying case. Serial number stamped on the back is NX73900.

Condition of the typewriter is very good. It could use a good cleaning but all moving parts are functioning and it is complete. It will need a new ribbon. The case has some wear, mainly along the edges and corners, and the handle is missing. It hasn't been closed all the way or latched shut because it appears the cylinder knob needs to compress for the lid to close. I haven't tried to force it. It will be shipped as-is with an unlatched lid.
