OVERVIEW

The Continental HTL2 Eco Plus is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial trucks. This model is specially designed for the vehicle's trailer axle.

The model provides a lengthened tread life. The ribbed tread design enhances the tread life and the tire's usability by avoiding irregular tread wear formations. The ribbed pattern manages to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking prevent uneven tread wear across the tread area. The durable tire compound manages to diminish the tread wear rate thanks to its wear-resistant durability. The longer lasting tread life guarantees an elongated service life as well.

The tire was designed with the Eco Plus technology which utilizes the tread design and the tire compound to lower the tire's rolling resistance. They increase the tire's all weather traction and ease the pressure off the tire to decrease the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tire, which determines how much energy the vehicle needs to use up to keep the tires in motion. The lessened rolling resistance decreases the towing vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emission, which ensures a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly performance.

The HTL2 Eco Plus has first-rate load and driving durability. Its internal construction features a heavy duty ply structure, which maintains the tire's optimal shape at all times. As a result, the tire does not deform under the driving and load pressure affecting the model. This allows the tire to easily carry and withstand heavy loads with ease throughout the tire's lifetime.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
