CARL FREDRIK HILL

A substantial hardcover volume published by the Malmo Art Museum to coincide with a major retrospective of drawings by this outstandingly original Swedish artist (1843-1911). The text includes statements by several Scandivanian artists concerning Hill's legacy and influence on their work.

Published in Stockholm in 2000, this rare English-language edition is retired from the reference section of a college library. It has the usual library marks, and the covers show some wear, most noticeably a tear along one edge of the backstrip and a scuff on the lower spine wear a label was removed (photos 8 & 9). The binding is till sound, and the interior is in fine shape.

Certainly a very good reading copy of this remarkable monograph, scarce in any condition.

Hardcover, issued without a jacket, 9.5" X 12.25", 422 pages, richly illustrated throughout.
