About LP JUE

"Luang Pu Jue Panthamutto" is a Vipassana Buddhist monk, currently 79 years old. He was ordained in 1975 at Wat Sri Kaeng Khro, Tambon Chong Sam Mo, Amphoe Kaeng Khro, Chaiyaphum Province, with Phra Bodhiyanamuni as his preceptor. After ordination, he became a disciple of Luang Pho Phang Chittakutto, a revered monk of the Northeast region, at Wat Udom Khongkha Khiri Khet.

He focuses primarily on the study of Vipassana meditation. He undertakes ascetic journeys to various peaceful and serene places, especially those with natural water sources. This has allowed him to understand the geography, livelihoods, and occupational problems of the local people.

In 1980, while Luang Pu was practicing meditation at Wat Khao Ta Ngo Udomporn, he observed that the villagers of Nong Bua Rahew were suffering from a shortage of water for consumption and daily use. Therefore, Luang Pu decided to develop the "Lam Chiang Tha" water source, which flows into the Chi River. Because he thought there should be a water reservoir for the benefit of the Nong Bua Rahew community,

and nearby communities, Luang Pu led monks, disciples, and villagers in constructing an earthen dam with limited funds and government support. This provided villagers in Ban Khwao, Nong Bua Rahew, and Mueang Chaiyaphum districts—three districts in total—with a water source for agriculture.

For 40 years, Luang Pu Jue has been a practicing and developing monk, creating benefits for the community, overseeing the source of the Chi River, building over 30 weirs, and constructing roads for people in nearby communities. Luang Pu's love and compassion are immense; even seeing everything he has built, it is still difficult to fully understand the greatness of his kindness.
