Found in a box lot of early train stuff, with a tag saying these were circa 1902 Marklin lamp posts and a bench platform, Gauge I, "research reference TOY TRAINS, A HISTORY by Pierce Carlson". I don't have that book, so perhaps some of you folks do. That said, all three pieces are made of heavy gauge tin. A magnet sticks to all of it, even the decorative bases of the posts. The chains all seem the right length and there are hooks on the lamp posts to detach them. There are 4 pins on the bench that are bent. Presumably these once held waiting passengers? The long platform is 18.75" x 3". The posts are all approx. 7.75" tall. The bases on the single lamp posts are 2.5"x2.5". Black posts, green bases, orange bench seat. All weighs in at just under 2 lbs.
