This blue and white alabastro fruit bowl is a classic Archimede Seguso piece, in the shape of an apple. These bowls were made in the late 1950s, and examples can be found in the Seguso book "Lace and Stone". The bowl is in excellent condition.
These fruit bowls made in blue and white are pretty rare now, and not seen as often as the pink or green bowls.
The bowl is 11.5cm long and 11.5cm wide, with a height of 5cm. The base is polished, and has light shelf wear with fine scratches which is consistent with the age of the item.
