This alabastro geode bowl is a classic Archimede Seguso piece. Made in the late 1950s, examples can be found in the Seguso book "Lace and Stone". This square geode, with rounded edges, is made of white alabastro, with a wipe of green alabastro glass inside the bowl. It is in excellent condition.
The bowl is 8.5cm by 8.5cm, with a height of 4.5cm. There is a flat polished base, with very light shelf wear which is consistent with the age of the item.
There is the remnant of a round red scalloped label on the base. This label was used exclusively by Archimede Seguso.
