Spider-Man 337. The letters page features an essay by Todd McFarlane.

KEY: Premiere issue of the fourth ongoing Spider-Man series
NOTE: Todd McFarlane begins including images of Felix the Cat in the
interior art of many issues after meeting someone suffering from
post-traumatic stress who carried around a Felix the Cat doll. The man told McFarlane that he was not a fan of superhero books,
therefore he didn't purchase Spider-Man comics. McFarlane asked if he
would start reading them if Felix the Cat was drawn into them and the
man said, "yes".

“Make
an offer” is always an option, so take advantage of that. I may be in a great
mood. Don’t be discouraged if we counter-offer or outright do not accept.
Nothing personal; strictly business. However, the more comics you make offers
on, the better the chances we accept.
