Product Description

This is a beautiful and extensive vintage flatware set in the popular "First Love" pattern, made by the renowned 1847 Rogers Bros., a division of International Silver Company (IS). This Art Deco-inspired pattern, introduced in 1937, features an elegant, romantic design with stylized floral blossoms and scrolls on the handle ends.

The set provides a complete Service for 12 plus numerous extra place spoons and serving pieces, making it an excellent find for collectors or anyone looking for a full, classic silverware set for entertaining. The total piece count is 54 items.

Condition

The set is offered in Good Vintage Condition.

Flatware Condition: The 54 pieces show a lovely, aged patina and tarnish, which is expected for silverplate from this era. We recommend a gentle cleaning and polishing to bring back their brilliant luster. Minor surface scratches are consistent with age and use. NOTE ON KNIVES: The knives have hollow handles. One knife has separated from its blade (please see the detailed photos). This common vintage issue is often repairable.

Case Condition: The original wooden storage chest is structurally sound and the red velvet lining is intact. However, the exterior shows clear signs of its age and history. This includes a very noticeable cut mark on the top edge of the case and various other bumps and surface scrapes (please examine all provided photos carefully). These cosmetic flaws do not affect the functionality of the chest, which still provides excellent, anti-tarnish storage.
