This fantastic original 1970s amber space age table lighter and ashtray set is made from this stunning pale tangerine bark textured glass.
Often referred to as < ice cube ashtray > and < ice cube table lighter>. They could be attributed to Antonio Imperatore who designed in Murano glass in Italy but there are no markings so please examine the photos and make your own mind up.
They will make a great addition to any art glass collection, whether you smoke or not. I have seen them used, to good effect with the lighter removed and a tea light in the space instead.
Highly collectable and so rare to find a set like this. Great examples of their kind this would be a wonderful gift for any Space Age design enthusiast.
In EXCELLENT vintage condition, with no cracks or chips to the glass at all. The lighter part is fuelled by aerosol lighter fluid, as you can see it works, though the flame is small, this could just be due to me not filling it very full. I would recommend you get it cleaned and serviced if you want it to work well long term. The value of this piece is in the glass really. These lighters are a standard size so it would be fairly easy to replace the lighter if you have a problem with it. Please see all photos remember it is around 50 years old, pre-owned and pre-loved.
