This is a good Original WWII WAR Medal with an Original MID Mentioned In Despatches OAK LEAF .

The Medal is in good worn on uniform condition with original used silk ribbon.

The medal has been worn on a uniform at some time as there are wear marks to the medal and age patina, see photo.

The ribbon has attached an Original  "Mentioned In Despatches" Oak Leaf.

This medal was awarded to all full time personnel of the armed forces wherever they were serving, so long as they had served for at least 28 days between 3rd Septemebr 1939 nad 2nd September 1945 were eligable for this medal. 

Granted in addition to Defence Medal and campaign stars. 

No clasp was issued with this medal but a Bronze Oak Leaf denoted mentioned in despatches (MID) was sown on the Ribbon as this example.
