Classification: FixMe: Lunar meteorite (feldspathic melt breccia)

History: Samples are reportedly found 200 km from Adrar, Algeria. Mike Miller purchased 2 samples with a total weight of 462 g from Taguati Abdelhamid in Algeria in August of 2025.

Physical characteristics: The exterior of the sample is dark green and orange and shows a wind-ablated exterior. The cut face shows a brecciated texture composed of mostly grey-colored lithic clasts.

Petrography: Description and classification (A. Love, App) The sample is a complex breccia composed of cm-sized, rounded to angular clasts of troctolite, anorthosite, microporphyritic lithic clasts and rare subophitic-textured clasts set within a devitrified and schlieren-textured, vesicular melt-matrix. Some clasts show assimilation with shock melt. Additional minerals are: spinel, calcite and barite.

Geochemistry: (A. Love, App) olivine (Fa19.3±3.7, Fe/Mn=63.2-96.4, n=29; Fa38.4±3.0, Fe/Mn=75.4-90.8); pigeonite (Fs21.9±10.2Wo13.3±5.9, Fe/Mn=42.2-50.8, n=8); high Ca pyroxene (Fs24.4±3.5Wo29.0±3.8, Fe/Mn=43.8-50.8, n=2); plagioclase (An98.1±0.2Or0.0, n=14); pleonaste spinel (Sp91.6±4.6Chr6.8±3.4Usp1.5±1.6Mt0.1±0.2, Mg#=71.6±8.8, n=5).

Classification: Lunar achondrite (feldspathic melt breccia, M-S4, moderate weathering) Based on texture, Fe/Mn ratios within olivine and Ca pyroxene and presence of anorthitic feldspar, sample is a feldspathic melt breccia.

Specimens: Mike Miller holds the main masses. A polished thin section and 4 slices weighing a total of 22.20 g are on deposit at App.
