PICASSO - Lithographic print 'FAMILLE AU BORD DE LA MER', 18 x 23.5 inches, signed, dedicated and dated (pour Marie, rue de monceau - paris, March 3 1957)

The  dedication may probably refer to Marie Leiris of the Louise Leiris Gallery at rue de monceau in Paris, which frequently held exhibitions of Picasso works.

Galerie Louise Leiris was a fine art gallery in Paris established by Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler in 1920. Initially, the business was known as the Galerie Simon. It was named after Kahnweiler's partner, André Simon. In 1940, the business was turned over to Louise Leiris, who was Kahnweiler's sister-in-law. It was run under her name.

Prominent among the artists who sold paintings through this gallery was Pablo Picasso. Many exhibitions of Picasso's works were held here including one during March and April 1957 (see image of exhibition poster) which coincides with the date inscribed in the dedication on this poster.
