This listing is for a 1987 REPRODUCTION of an art deco match holder with striker from the French ocean liner, Ile de France, commissioned in 1937 and scrapped in 1958/59.
The match striker is made of heavy white ceramic material with red lettering and design.
On the underside it states that it was made (as a reproduction) in 1978.
The piece measures approximately 3.75" tall x 4" in diameter at the base.
It is marked as pictured on the underside, and I believe it was made in France (although haven't confirmed that).
CONDITION
USED
The match striker and holder is in good condition - no chips/cracks/design loss. Minor wear here and there.
