Here is a wonderful technique that is new to me
The artist (Parq?) has painted the major landmarks of Paris
He has applied paint over newsprint over fabric
The piece is likely from c.1960, as one of the ads I can see in the newspaper seems to be for a 1959 Puegeot
(1960 is also the time when the frame shop in Phoenix opened for business)
The fabric (not including the fringe) is 7" x 19"
The frame is 13" x 24"
Fabric, newspaper, paint.
How cool is this?
Points of interest in Paris:
Tour Eiffel
La Madeleine
Place de l'Opera
Notre Dame
Do see my pictures.
Frame could use some Old English Scratch cover.
Some damage to matte.
