One Scope to Cover Fast Targets and Precision Shots

Whether you’re engaging at speed or dialing for detail, the Continental X10 gives you the range from true 1× up to 10× magnification, built on a robust 34 mm tube, premium ED glass and tactical features to match. It’s designed for serious shooters who want both reflex speed and long‑reach accuracy in one package.

✅ Key Features & Benefits

  • 1–10× variable magnification – at 1× you retain full situational awareness and rapid acquisition, then when the shot opens up you zoom into 10×.

  • 28 mm objective lens – compact yet able to provide usable light gathering in varied conditions.

  • 34 mm main tube – gives a larger internal adjustment range, stronger construction and enhanced flexibility for elevation travel.

  • First Focal Plane (FFP) reticle – hold‑over points remain true at any magnification, giving you consistent reference from 1× through 10×.

  • ED glass + German Schott HT + VePRO FMC coatings – high end optical quality with excellent light transmission (over 90‑93%) and clarity even in lower light.

  • Tactical turrets & zero stop – securely lock your zero and confidently make elevation/windage changes; trusted in demanding conditions.

  • Rugged build – IP68 rated waterproof, nitrogen‑purged, shock tested to ~1000g, built for field durability.

🌟 Stand‑Out Feature

FAQS

Q1: Is the 1‑10× zoom range practical in the field?
Yes. At 1× you maintain broad awareness and fast target acquisition. As engagements lengthen, the zoom up to 10× gives you the clarity and reach you need — ideal for versatile use from stalking to precision follow‑up.

Q2: How does the FFP reticle affect shooting?
In a First Focal Plane scope, the reticle scales with magnification, meaning your hold‑over or wind marks remain accurate regardless of zoom. It gives consistency across the zoom range.

Q3: Will the 28 mm objective be a drawback in low light?
While larger objectives do gather more light, the combination of premium ED glass and coatings ensures strong performance. For low‑light hunting or twilight work it performs well — just recognise that in deep dusk a 50+ mm objective would gather more light.

Q4: What calibre/rifle types is this suited to?
This scope is designed for serious use — tactical, hunting, precision. With the large tube, tactical features and rugged build it’s well suited for centrefire rifles, stalking, dynamic use or long‑range builds.

Q5: Does it come with mounting rings or is the base needed separately?
No, mount tings are extra. They will need to be for a 34mm tube scope to suit whatever base rail fitting you have. Low profile will suit the majority of situations.

Q6: What does “ED glass + VePRO FMC + Schott” mean?
It means this optic uses high‑end extras: Extra‑Low Dispersion (ED) glass to reduce chromatic aberration, premium Schott HT glass for clarity and VePRO fully multi‑coatings to maximise light transmission and minimise glare. The result: sharper, brighter, clearer targets.

FFP vs SFP FAQ – Read Before You Buy

Q7: I’ve heard FFP reticles can be hard to see at low magnification. Is that true?
Yes — this is one of the key trade-offs with First Focal Plane (FFP) scopes. At low magnification, the reticle appears very small because it scales with zoom. This is normal in all FFP optics and can take some getting used to. It’s particularly noticeable in 1–10× scopes when dialled to 1× or 2×.

If your primary use is close-range or fast-reactive shooting, and you rely heavily on bold, easily visible aiming marks at low mag, you may prefer a Second Focal Plane (SFP) reticle instead — which remains the same size across the zoom range.

Many FFP scopes now include illuminated or bold centre elements to help mitigate this, but visibility can still be limited in certain backgrounds or lighting.

In short:
FFP = Accurate holdovers at all mags, but tiny reticle at 1×–2×
SFP = Bigger reticle always visible, but holdovers only true at one zoom setting
