This is a superb clear faceted glass dome light fixture from the 1970s. On a chrome mount with a chrome finial which holds it all together. Perfect for use in a bathrooms, on the ceiling but could equally be used on the wall, and can be used outside, in a sheltered spot, like a porch.
The metal back plate fixes to the ceiling or wall and contains two bayonet bulb holders taking two lightbulbs. The elaborate glass dome shade slots on top of the back plate and the central rod secures it in place with the finial. The light fractures through the facets and makes a fabulous sparkly light pattern around it.
The ideal gift for anyone with a love of 20th Century style and a fantastic decorators piece. Ideal for any room and it could be the perfect prop for a 1970s film, TV or theatrical production.
In VERY GOOD vintage condition with no cracks and chips to the glass. the only point to note is a little oxidization on the finial. As you can see it is currently in working order though you will need either a professional electrician or a confident DIYer to fix this in your desired location, it will be up to them to get them working there. The wiring is old and they may advise a re-wire. If you have any concerns about safety you should get it professionally tested after fitting too. It was designed to be used with a European 220/240 volt domestic power circuit, so if you are from a country with 120 volt mains (like USA for example) it might need them adapting.
