This is a superbly stylish 1950s atomic table lamp with a chrome base, a stunning art deco rocket shaped glass shade and a white lucite disc and a shiny chrome Saturn ring. Stunning space age design with a silver/grey plastic on/off switch is in the power flex.
Amazing original 1950s design; wonderfully French but also with quintessential Mid Century atomic style, from an era when colour and futuristic design were the epitome of post-war era home style. This little lamp will look stunning in any well designed room. A very striking display lamp, and wonderful decorators piece.
In GOOD vintage condition with some signs of its age, there is significant aging to the bulb holder and shade clips but this is mostly inside the shade and could be replaced without affecting the integrity of the design. There is a split in the white lucite disk and the shade has a tiny chink in the white surface colour, which only shows when examined closely when the light is on. As you can see it is in working order but for safety's sake you should have it tested by a professional electrician after shipping. It is fitted with a European style 2 pin plug which will need changing or using with an adapter in non-European countries. Please see ALL photos and remember it is around 40 years old and is pre-owned and pre-loved.

It takes a B22 bayonet cap bulb (not included). It needs to be a candle shape bulb or smaller to fit inside the shade.
