This is a wonderfully stylish 1950s lucite table lamp has a black tripod base, a ribbed red portion for the bulb holder and a corrugated white perspex shade which is twisted round to make a cone shape. The black plastic on/off switch is in the black power flex..
Amazing original 1950s French design which I believe is by French designer Pierre Gauriche. There are no labels though so you must look at the photos and be sure it is as you would expect.
Pierre Guariche was a French designer, interior decorator and architect. He is perhaps best known for the residential lights that he designed for Pierre Disderot in the 1950s, but he was also an innovative furniture designer and architect. His chairs are also very collectable these days.
Superbly French but also with quintessential Mid Century atomic style, from an era when colour and futuristic design were the epitome of post-war era home style. This little lamp will look stunning in any well designed room. A very striking display lamp, and wonderful decorators piece.
In EXCELLENT vintage condition with very few signs of its age. As you can see it is in working order but for safety's sake you should have it tested by a professional electrician after shipping. It is fitted with a European style 2 pin plug which will need changing or using with an adapter in non-European countries. Please see ALL photos and remember it is around 40 years old and is pre-owned and pre-loved.
Approx measurements:
Height - 27 cm / 10½ in

It takes a standard B22 bayonet cap bulb (not included). It is fairly easy to by LED versions of this bulb online nowadays, which is best with plastic, since they do not give off any heat.
