Note: Sometimes it can seem a bit worrying when the mattress doesn’t expand fully right after opening. Please don’t worry, though; this is quite a usual occurrence with brand new mattresses. Since it’s been vacuum-packed for a while, it often takes several days to regain its full shape.

In particular, the corners can take longer to expand than the rest of the mattress. That’s because the corners are usually compressed more tightly during packing to fit the roll and maintain the shape. The middle section tends to open up faster, while the corners slowly catch up over time.

You can also help it along by gently adjusting or patting the corners to allow the material to settle evenly.

This doesn’t indicate a fault — it’s simply still in the process of expanding as expected. Once it’s had a bit more time, especially depending on room temperature, it should look and feel perfectly fine.
