I have had several people ask about these 'snapshot photos of film stars'.  I bought them all in 3 different lots at an auction in Dallas, Texas back in the 1980s.  The auction house told me that they had belonged to a man who collected rare movie photos for many years and he used to write to the stars as well.  I won the 3 lots of photos.  There were autographed items too but unfortunately I didn't win any of those that day.  Although I do have other autographs that I purchased and got through the years.  I am 80 years old now and I am selling off a lot of my items for others to enjoy now.  I hope this information helps.
